Curated Resource Library

The Curated Resource Library is a growing collection of books, articles, multimedia, and teaching materials that support conscious dance practitioners, facilitators, researchers, and allies. This centralized repository is designed to make reliable, high-quality resources easily accessible for self-study, community facilitation, and educational development.

Materials in this section span multiple domains—ranging from somatic practices and movement therapy to neuroscience, trauma studies, music curation, and spiritual traditions. These resources reflect the interdisciplinary nature of conscious dance, and many of them combine practical guidance with theoretical insight.

The library is organized by resource type and is open for community contribution. Contributors are encouraged to share tools they find useful in practice, helping create a vibrant, collaborative knowledge base.

Scope of the Collection

  • Articles and Journals – Peer-reviewed studies, meta-analyses, and theoretical papers on the effects of dance on physical, emotional, and social well-being.
  • Videos and Podcasts – Interviews with facilitators, recorded talks, documentaries, instructional dance sequences, and audio series relevant to conscious movement.
  • Courses and Training Programs – Online and in-person courses in specific modalities (e.g. 5Rhythms, Open Floor, Movement Medicine), somatic education, trauma-informed facilitation, and creative embodiment.
  • Facilitator Toolkits – Class plans, movement exercises, music playlist examples, safety agreements, and accessibility checklists used by facilitators across various dance forms.
