Alexander Girshon

Dancer and poet, dance movement therapist, PhD in psychology, traveling around the world. Author of the approach Integral Dance.

He lives in Portugal and conducts programs in Europe and Israel. One of the pioneers of dance movement therapy in the former USSR. He left Russia because of the war with Ukraine and now develops his approach — Integral Dance — within Russian-speaking communities.

He has been studying plastic theater, improvisation, and dance since 1988; transpersonal psychology since 1990, as well as various approaches to personal development (at the Institute for Personal Development, Moscow, Russia). In 2008, he received his PhD in Psychology from the International Academy of Psychological Sciences.

He is a participant in national and international dance events, festivals, and collaborations.

Author of seven books and numerous articles on improvisation and dance therapy. His work has been mentioned in Contact Quarterly, American Dance Magazine, and the American Journal of Dance Therapy.
