Bilinçli dans, kendiliğinden ve sezgisel hareketler yoluyla farkındalığı, bedenleşmeyi, duygusal ifadeyi ve otantik bağlantıyı geliştirmeye adanmış bir hareket pratiğidir. Yapılandırılmış koreografiyi ve dışsal estetiği vurgulayan geleneksel dans biçimlerinin aksine, bilinçli dans dansçıları içe dönmeye, şimdiki anın içsel deneyimlerine ve duygularına öncelik vermeye teşvik eder.
